The Multi-Million Design & Build contract involves opening the existing roof and extending the original steel structure up to form a new floor of offices above the roof level of the original structure. The new structure will be built from the new floor plate using structural steel columns and beams cladded with Rodeca light weight sheeting. Internally the walls and floor structure will be constructed of light weight metal studding sheeted with Gypsum plaster board, and fitted out with floor, wall and ceiling finishes, M&E installation and Joinery ready for University use on handover.
