April 2015: Official Opening of Sportslab

The Sportslab was officially opened by Minister Alan Kelly and Irish International Golfer Padraig Harrington. The futuristic facility which houses the most advanced high-tech equipment and the same Mondeo Floor which was featured in the London Olympics has been recognised as the most unique centre in Europe for sports strength and conditioning and will cater for over 500 under and post graduate students a year.

The facility has been described by three times golf major champion, Harrington as "one of the finest in the world" and is already drawing interest from elite sports entities around the world, including Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City and United. Housed with a specially-equipped chamber which analyses motion and movement in the human body without wires or sensors is the only system in Europe and one of the very few in the world.

Manley Construction is thrilled to have been involved in the deliverance of such an internationally recognised facility and we wish LIT Tipperary all the best in the future with the Facility!
