Gateman

We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Gateman to oversee site access, manage vehicle deliveries, and ensure strict adherence to security and safety protocols. As the first point of contact on-site, you will represent the company professionally while maintaining a safe, secure, and organized entry point.

Key Responsibilities

• Access Control: Manage the main entrance, verifying the identity of all personnel, contractors, and visitors before allowing site entry.
• Traffic & Delivery Management: Direct incoming delivery vehicles, manage site traffic flow safely, and log all vehicle arrivals and departures.
• Visitor Orientation: Ensure all visitors sign in, undergo basic safety inductions, and are issued appropriate visitor passes and PPE.
• Site Safety & Security: Keep the gate area secure and clear of obstructions, monitor perimeter fencing, and report unauthorized access or safety hazards immediately.
• Logkeeping: Maintain clear, accurate logs of deliveries, vehicle registration numbers, personnel headcounts, and visitor records.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Safe Pass.
• Previous experience as a gateman, bankman or traffic marshal on a busy construction site.
• Strong communication skills and a firm, polite, customer-focused attitude.
• High attention to detail and reliable punctuality.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Salary: Negotiable.
