Tom Manley

Tom has a lifetime of experience within the Irish and British construction industry. He started his career as a Carpenter in Fermanagh. He went on to work in the UK on various types of projects including Hydro Electric Stations, Cement Factories and Domestic Housing and was during this time that Tom developed his role from trades to Site Management level.

Initially when Tom returned back to Ireland he worked as a Site Manager for JJ Duffy in Navan before setting up Manley Construction as a sole trader in 1982. The Company firstly concentrated on providing subcontracting services to some of the larger National Building Contractors in and around the Meath/ Louth/ Kildare and Dublin areas. The services provided included carpentry, interior fit out and project management.

In 1987 Tom incorporated the company and started Manley Construction in its current guise which was reported in the Business Magazine as No 1 in the top 20 fastest growing companies in the North East of Ireland in 1997.

Tom had successfully led the company which at its biggest had over 150 members of staff and a turnover of over €40m. Following his successful career as Managing Director Tom stepped down in 2010 to let Gabriel Manley run the overall Company Strategy. However, he is still actively involved within the company and supports the existing board of directors and the experienced technical management team on all construction projects.
