Manley has an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Quantity Surveyor to join our team.

Location: Hybird: Office, WFM and site

Role description:

  • Managing all aspects of the Quantity Surveying and Estimating process
  • Cost Management of the project
  • Developing the Supply Chain
  • Work closely with the project team to ensure that projects are delivered within budget and to the required quality standards.
  • Contract Administration along with management of the procurement process
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Identify potential risks to project profitability and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Provide guidance and support to junior members of the QS team.
  • Preparing monthly project payment applications and cost reportsMonitoring of project costs and agreeing variations
  • Reporting monthly to senior management on the financial performance
  • Preparing and presenting cost / risk analysis
  • Managing all aspects of tender including the financial assessments
  • Operating specialised costing data base and producing new records / costs
  • Ensuring best value is achieved regarding all elements
  • Auditing and reporting on sub-contractor/suppliers return

 Suitable candidates should have:

  • Residential Experience is essential
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a similar role with a Main Contractor in a similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Professional membership with a recognised institution (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and relevant legislation.
  • A track record in securing profitable projects
  • Excellent Information Technology skills
  • A full clean European driver’s license and a form of transport which will enable you to fulfil your responsibilities
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • The ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent numeracy and computer skills
  • Professional presence, dress and demeanour
